Been a bit quiet

So apologies for going quiet and not blogging the last couple of months...essentially I didn't want to do to much before and over Christmas and now its over I can focus on planning and making and such...so brief update:

Before xmas went to see my mums friend who is a whizz with dress alterations...took my mums wedding dress and left it in her capable hands, she is going to alter the neckline and the sleeves first and hopefully soon when that is done I'll pop back down to see her and get the length altered...dress sorted.

I have bought some shoes...I'm not sure if they are 'the ones' but they were in the sale and a bargain...plus I can totter around the house in them to get used to walking in such high shoes

 

 

I had an epiphany inspired by this pic...

 

 



So this was from a rockabilly/pin up wedding blog and this is about the length my dress will be and I'm planning to have the 'poofy' underskirt similar (but in purple) and I totally fell in love with the idea of the groom wearing converse as a bit of fun and to make it a bit rock'n'roll (also they are quite comfy shoes to wear!) ...obviously not red...as my colour theme is purple them men will have to swallow there pride and wear purple shoes!

I am now scouring shops and online sales trying to find the best deal on Purple Converse :)

I have also acquired 2 Ushers....I'm not going to be all over-bearing and make them do lots of weird 'usher' type stuff....but I thought it would be nice to have Ushers involved in the sevice and to have them in the matching suits (And converse!)

Men we need to dress:

- Groom
- Best Man
- Father of the Groom
- Father of the Bride
- Usher 1
- Usher 2

I did also briefly start pricing up Honeymoons....Paris to be specific, on the Eurostar <3
We don't really have the money to book the honeymoon at the moment, however we have both got the week after the wedding off and are hoping to see what money we have left after everything is paid for and snap up a last minute deal.

Got lots to do (Head spinny!) and now I feel like I'm running out of time! Crazy stuff!
