New bouquet inspiration

So, I have already covered the 'button bouquets' which I plan to make my own and 2 for the brides maids, as well as 6 buttonholes to the same design for the Groom, Best Man, 2 Ushers and father of the Bride and Groom.

Also plan to incorporate an element of them in the table centrepieces, which I am also making myself. 6 for the tables and 2 for the top table.

Anyhoo...I was wondering around in 'Hobbycraft' looking at all the lovely crafty-stuff, seeing ideas/inspiration for invites and table decorations when I came across some paper flower cut outs in white and purple.

Hmm...I wonder what they would look like with buttons in the middle? I thought to myself.

And to my own astonishment they look better than I ever thought they would!

Paper flowers

Many many many purple buttons

Then, let the threading commense, I started off using small 'pearl' buttons, which I thought looked very sweet! As well as mixing purple and white flowers of different sizes

Then I started using multi-stacked buttons within the flowers as well.

Once I had made a few I had a lovely looking bunch of paper flowers :)

I think I'm just going to use a few flowers per bouquet to add some depth/texture and to break up the monotony (and weight) of a bouquet made purely of buttons. Overall a very inspired afternoon of crafting :)

Let me know what you think!
